Well, this blog is a major throwback as I am writing it 6 months after we went on the trip.
Our visit to Ghale Gaun was to study about the Home Stay, how they were established, how it is operating and also, knowing a bit about the village too.
The trip started from Kathmandu and our stop was at Besisahar where we got a chance to get more information on Annapurna Conservation Area Project.
Then, it took off a two-hour crazy ride to Ghale Gaun, the roads were bad, really bad. But, we kept ourselves occupied with songs and prayers.
Stopping for a tea break mid-way.
GHALE GAUN!!!
The smoky next morning.
You could feel the clouds just above you if you stretched you can touch it.
Statue of the last kind of Ghale Gaun.
The museum seemed small…..
But, it has a lot of cultural treasure.
Nice to see children doing their own cleaning.
The whole time we were there it was cloudy and cold.
The homestay we stayed in. The host, Ms. Kamala Ghale is a Health Volunteer and was a nice host. We would ask her for tea all the time and she gave it with a smile.
The view is to die for…
The water streams clean and cold.
There were many on our way to Bhanjang.
This is Bhanjang.
The houses look pretty cool! 🙂
This reminds me of the view of Mustang in Nepali movies.
View on way back to Ghale Gaun.
Evening at Ghale Gaun.
We did not get a chance to see the mountains in the morning but they glowed in the evening.
We bid adieu to the place after staying and enjoying there for 3 days. It is a great place to visit if you are looking for a place to go and relax.
